What is a wedding dog chaperone?
A wedding dog chaperone looks after your much-loved dog before, during and after your wedding day. We handle everything from transportation, bathroom breaks, feeding, walking, and getting them ready for photos. Most importantly, we ensure your dog is safe, happy, and cared for so you and your family/friends can enjoy your big day. -
Can my dog be part of the ceremony?
Yes! Many couples include their dogs as ring bearers, flower pup, aisle companion or simply for photos or guest interaction. We help coordinate timings and keeps your dog calm, comfortable and safe throughout. -
How long can my dog be at my wedding for?
Our packages are fully customizable to suit your schedule. Some couples want their dog present only for the ceremony and photos, whilst others want them present for the morning prep, ceremony, photos and drinks reception. We need to keep in mind how dog friendly the venue is and how your dog will cope in the environment. Most dogs are happiest attending for shorter periods of time. -
Are you insured?
Yes! We are fully insured, dog first aid trained and DBS checked. We prioritise your dog's safety, comfort, and wellbeing above all else. -
Where does our dog go after their wedding duties are done?
Once their starring role is complete, we can keep your dog company in an agreed location until your wedding day comes to an end and you/family member comes to take over. Or we can safely transport your dog to your designated pet-sitter. We ensure they are settled in with fresh water and plenty of cuddles before we leave. -
Do we need to meet before the wedding day?
We always carry out an online video call to discuss your plans and get to know your dog, whilst you can also get to know me and ask me any questions you have. We are also happy to meet prior to the wedding day for a meet and greet. Fuel charges will apply. -
What if my dog is reactive?
This depends, please get in touch and we will see how we can assist you. -
Can you help with photos?
Yes, we assist photographers by keeping your dog engaged, positioned and camera ready with treats, toys and attention cues. -
What areas do you cover?
We travel nationally and cover the whole of the UK. Gloucestershire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire and the West Midlands are the most local to us. -
What should we provide on the day?
Whatever you think your dog will need throughout the day, usually:- Leads, harness, collars
- Food if I am to give them breakfast/dinner
- Favourite treats
- Favourite toy/ball/comforter
- Any medication needed
- Any attire you would like them to wear (i.e. bandana/bow)
-
What if its extreme weather/heat?
Safety and wellbeing is my main priority. If, in my professional judgment, the environment poses a risk to the dog, I will take all necessary steps in the dog's best interests, which may include limiting time outdoors or relocating the dog to a climate-controlled area.
